Committees

The Camanachd Association has the following Committee structure underpinning the Board.

Governance Committees

These committees report directly to the Board and are standing committees

Behaviour in Sport

This committee deals with issues of behaviour off the field of play and acts as the appeal process for the Disciplinary Committee. The Committee is chaired by Donald Skinner.

Disciplinary Committee

The Disciplinary Committee deals with issues relating to behaviour and standard of play on the field. The Committee is chaired by John Taylor.

Rules of Play Committee

The Rules of Play Committee is currently being established and will undertake to manage changes and developments in the way the game is played at both men’s senior and youth level.

Director’s Committees

FINANCE

Committee responsible for all financial matters including budgeting and management reporting, resources, equipment, IT and especially income collection.

COMPETITIONS

Committee responsible for integrating fixtures including postponements, and allocating referees to matches excluding cup finals, Macaulay Association and Celtic Association competitions, Schools Camanachd Association, Women’s Camanachd Association.  The Committee is led by Director Richard Gall with Fraser MacKenzie, David Calder, Ian Brown, Eric Morrison and staff member Astie Cameron.

CLUB AND VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT

Committee responsible for Club Development, Child Protection and responsible for all volunteer training requirements from club to board induction within the Camanachd Association.

COACHING

Committee responsible for all coaching matters including staff tutors, first aid and coaching course calendar and youth development.

OFFICIALS

Committee responsible for recruitment and training of all assessors and recruitment, training and grading of all referees, goal judges and linesmen and allocation of officials to cup finals.  This Committee is led by Director Ian MacPhee with Billy MacLachlan, Sandy Skinner, Dondy Robertson, Willie MacDonald, Graham Cameron and staff members Graham Cormack and Astie Cameron.

COMMUNICATIONS

Committee responsible for sponsorship, media relations, branding, income generation and communications.
