Beauly and Lochaber make Balliemore Cup Final

Following last weekend’s Semi-Finals, the finalists for this year’s Balliemore Cup Final are Beauly and Lochaber.

Beauly traveled South to Taynuilt to take on Kilmory in their Semi.  The long journey did not appear to affect their performance as despite an early goal from Kilmory’s Craig Taylor, Beauly equalised and went ahead soon after through Marc MacLachlan and Barrie MacDonald (2).  Steven Gilmour pulled one back for Kilmory on the stroke of half-time, leaving it 3-2 in favour of North side at the break.  As the second half begun the result could have gone either way, however it was Beauly who took advantage and Kilmory were unable to add to their tally.  Beauly scored a further four goals through Conor Ross, Sean Stewart (2) and David MacLean, securing their place in the Final with a final score of 7-2.

Lochaber also made a trip South to take on Glasgow Mid Argyll at the Winterton, Inveraray and they showed their opponents why they had made it to The Co-operative MacTavish Cup Final back in June with a convincing 4-0 victory.  Their scorers were Zands Ferguson in 26, Scott Paterson in 50, Ryan Toal 62 and finally Ben Delaney in 72.

Beauly and Lochaber will now meet at the Final on Saturday 21st July at Castle Leod, Strathpeffer.
