Eck Thow

One of Lovat’s most celebrated players Eck Thow has died, aged 94. Thow was at the heart of Lovat’s greatest ever side, which won the sport’s grand slam of trophies in 1953, the first time the feat had been achieved. His honours included a Camanachd Cup in 1953 triumph and the Glasgow Celtic Society Cup in 1950 and 1951.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 22, at 1.00 p.m., in the Church of Scotland, Kiltarlity thereafter to rest peacefully in Eskadale Burial Ground.
