Ian “Parrot” MacMillan

Ian “Parrott” MacMillan, died suddenly on Wednesday 5th September.
Ian played shinty for Oban Lorn before joining Oban Camanachd with whom he had a long association in many roles. He served as a committee member, he was also manager of Lochside Rovers when they won the Sutherland Cup in 1997 before taking over as manager of Oban Camanachd.
Ian was a regular attendee at matches in Oban and would often be heard passing on his advice to the officials.
The funeral will take place at Oban Parish Church, Soroba Road on Tuesday 11th September thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery.
