MacMaster Cup Success For Oban Camanachd U14

Oban Camanachd U14 came from 3-1 down to beat Newtonmore U14 5-3 in the MacMaster Cup Final at Mossfield, Oban on Saturday 15 September 2012.
The match was a fitting prelude to the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final between Inveraray and Kyles Athletic.
Oban Camanachd edged out Kilmallie 4-3 after extra-time to reach the final whilst Newtonmore were 6-1 winners against Beauly in their semi-final.
Newtonmore led 2-1 at the break with the prolific Sam Richardson getting both their goals.
When Richardson completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1, things looked good for Newtonmore.
However Oban Camanachd fought back and eventually ran out 5-3 winners to the delight of the home support.
Liam Higgins and Daniel MacMillan each scored twice for Oban Camanachd whilst Connor Howe got the other in what was a superb final.
