Congratulations to Ireland who won the 1st leg of the 2012 Marine Harvest Shinty Hurling International at Bught Park, Inverness by 25 points to 19.
Scorers for Scotland were Kevin Bartlett with 1 goal and 6 points, Neil MacDonald 1 – 0, Steven MacDonald 0 – 2 & Neil MacPhee 0 – 1.
The hero for Ireland was Patrick Horgan 3 goals and 7 points with further scores from Tommy Walsh 0 -1 Shane Dooley 0 – 1 and Neil MacManus 0 – 1.
The Irish lead the series by 3 points to 1 with the second leg next Saturday 27th at Ennis, Co Clare.
