Wednesday, July 11th, 2012 at 3:27PM
The sides left in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup will this Saturday battle it out for a coveted semi-final place in shinty’s most celebrated competition.
Kinlochshiel, who knocked out Kingussie in the previous round, travel to Kiltarlity to take on Lovat. Both sides have shown impressive league form in the Orion Group Premiership, both having taken points off league leaders, Newtonmore, so this is a huge opportunity for both to progress to the semi-finals.
Fresh after lifting the AJG Parcels Celtic Society Cup one week and then being knocked out of the Artemis Macaulay Cup the week after, Inveraray face Kilmallie at Canal Parks. Kilmallie currently sit at the bottom end of the Orion Group Premiership, so will see this tie as their chance to give their supporters something to shout about.
Kyles, who required a replay against GMA following a 1-1 draw to progress, make the long trip North to Portree as they meet Skye in their quarter final.
The Newtonmore v Lochaber tie has been postponsed due to bereavement. The tie will now take place on Saturday 28th July.
