This weekend: Artemis Macaulay Cup Semi-Finals

The finalists of this year’s Artemis Macaulay Cup will be decided this Saturday as both Semi-Finals take place in Inverness and Oban.

In the South area Semi-Final, Inveraray, fresh after their resounding 14-0 AJG Parcels Celtic Society Cup victory over Taynuilt, meet Oban Camanachd at Mossfield Park, Oban.  Throw-up is 12.00pm and the referee is Graham Cameron.

Up at Bught Park, Inverness in the North area Semi-Final, Fort William take on Glenurquhart.  This is the only cup competition that the sides are still in, so both sides will be equally determined to make the final.  Colin MacDonald is the referee for this tie which throws-up at 2.30pm.

The North area Semi-Final will be filmed and highlights will be available on YouTube early next week.

Elsewhere in shinty this weekend, Kyles Athletic and Glasgow Mid Argyll will attempt to book their place in the last 8 of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup following their 1-1 draw first time round and in the Orion Group Premiership, Kilmallie take on Kingussie for the second week in a row, Lovat make the long trip South to Bute and Kinlochshiel host Newtonmore.
