In the first of three shinty/hurling internationals this weekend, the Scottish Under 21 side have been narrowly defeated by their Irish counterparts with a final score of (3-8) 23- (2-9) 19.
The young Scots, who were playing under the lights at Gurteen, took the lead and maintained it for most of the match scoring two goals from Ben Delaney and Greg Matheson, along with 9 points, however a late surge from the Irish put a Scottish win out of reach.
Next up is the Women’s Shinty/Camogie match at 10.45am tomorrow, Saturday 27th October. For regular score updates, visit the Camanachd Association’s Facebook and Twitter pagea.
