Managing Shinty
The Child Protection Policy of the Camanachd Association is set out in ByeLaw 6.
By virtue of their membership of the Camanachd Association, every affiliated Association, Club and individual is bound by the Camanachd Association’s Child Protection Procedures. The procedures apply throughout the sport of shinty.
The procedures provide practical guidance to help club officials, coaches and child protection co-ordinators to implement the policy.
The procedures are not intended to add to the burden of the people who run shinty clubs. They aim to bring clarity to the task of ensuring that children and young people can enjoy shinty in a safe, healthy and happy environment.
