2019 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Semi-Final Preview

Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup

Kyles Athletic will take on Oban Camanachd to decide who will face Newtonmore in the 2019 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final. The most prestigious contest in shinty returns on Saturday 10th August at Mossfield. Oban have already been victorious over Kyles on three occasions this year and have knocked them out of two of the cups. Kyles, however, will point to their early season 4-3 victory at Tignabruaich, in which Oban were reduced to 11 men. When you get to the later stages of a competition such as the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup, however, there is no way to predict what is going to happen.

The journey to the semi-final was not easy for either side.

Kyles knocked out Kingussie in the previous round despite squandering a 2-0 lead with 4 minutes left to play. As they move one step closer to the historic final, they will be eager to maintain their concentration for the full 90.

Andrew MacCuish was the quarter-final hero for Oban Camanachd as his brace sunk Kinlochshiel at Kirkton Park. They are the form side going into the tie - having lost only once in the last 14 matches.

Kyles and Oban are only separated by one point in the league however and both sides will undoubtedly bring the commitment that such a fixture demands. We are all looking forward to a riveting semi-final on Saturday at Mossfield– 16.00 Throw up.
