Congratulations to GlenUrquhart Shinty Club for achieving a Silver ClubMark Award

GlenUrquhart celebrate a fantastic achievement

The Camanachd Association is delighted to announce that GlenUrquhart Shinty Club have achieved a Silver Award on the Camanachd’s ClubMark Scheme. This shows the commitment that GlenUrquhart have to improving the sustainability of the sport. In order to achieve such an award GlenUrquhart have had to prove that they are committed to improving performance and increasing participation. The club has set high standards in behaviour and discipline and has produced a development and marketing plan that sets out the club’s goals and targets.

Merit must go to all those involved with GlenUrquhart Shinty Club as they set their sights obtaining a Gold Award. Katie Drain, Camanachd Association Regional Development Officer, has provided support for GlenUrquhart as they worked towards their Silver Award. The tireless work of shinty clubs and their associated RDO is what helps to drive up standards in our sport. Katie Drain has said:

“GlenUrquhart Shinty Club have been extremely proactive in implementing small but important changes within their club to create a more sustainable structure. Their committee are fantastic and extremely forward thinking, they are already well on their way to achieving the Gold ClubMark Award.”

Once again, the Camanachd Association would like to give its warmest of congratulations to GlenUrquhart for this great achievement.
