The Club are in a strong position on and off the park, with work underway on their new youth pitch and their young talented first team currently top of the National League.
The Camanachd Association Clubmark Accreditation Scheme is aligned to the 6 Priority areas in the sportscotland Club and Communities Framework , and has been designed to support clubs and volunteers who have ambitions to be the best they can be.
At the recent presentation of the certificate Club President Duncan MacPhee said ”The gold certificate belongs to all of you – to our club – which we are proud to declare is a club open to all. You have all, in one way or another, contributed to this certificate. Our club committee have served us well and are too numerous to mention, except I think it is appropriate that an exception is made for our Managing Director Richard Gall, who has steered this club through its period of greatest development as well as its period of greatest success on the pitch, also Margaret Robertson our long serving Treasurer. It is also awarded to our coaches, our junior club, our ladies team, our ground staff, Dondie Robertson, Tommy Graham and George Mackay, our exceptional Group of referees who made a huge contribution to Shinty, being a refereeing contribution well in excess of any other Shinty club and also where is Willie Anderson who is also known to blow the odd whistle, from time to time! You have all done so well to pass on to successive generations, the opportunity handed to you by those that came before you. Again many thanks to everyone and congratulations on this magnificent and thoroughly well-deserved achievement.”
If your club would like to engage in the scheme or are already engaged and would like to progress up the levels then please contact your local Regional Development Officer.
