This week we have been focusing on Health & Wellbeing ahead of the start of the 2020 season. Much of our focus so far has been on mental health provision and the action we are taking to ensure that out members have access to any necessary support. There is however, far more to a Health & Wellbeing approach than mental health.
NHS Screening
Screening is an important way to catch illness at its earliest stage meaning there is a far greater likelihood of recovery.

Concussion Guidelines
Concussion's are a part of every semi contact sport - it is important that clubs and coaches take responisibility and ensure that all players are protected. The full concussion guidelines are available below and remember - IF IN DOUBT, SIT THEM OUT.
Bullying
Shinty is a team sport that enhances togetherness and promotes unity. However, as in all areas of life, there can be times of conflict between players, coaches or volunteers. It is important that clubs are able to recognise the difference between disagreements and bullying. The Camanachd Association have created this support book to help.
Alcohol & Drug Policy
The Camanachd Association has provided a sample policy for our member clubs to use to help guide their members towards healthy lifestyle choices.
