Officials confirmed for Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final

The Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final is the most prestigious event in all of shinty. Therefore, it is important to have a strong officials team managing the match, so as to create a fantastic spectacle for all involved.

The referee for the 2019 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final is Robert Baxter. Robert enjoyed a long playing career at Kyles Athletic and has been refereeing for nearly 15 years. He has refereed many of the major finals including the Glasgow Celtic Society and the Artemis Macaulay. This will be Robert’s second time refereeing the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final, last doing so in 2016 as Newtonmore beat Oban Camanachd 1-0. Robert is one of the best referees in the country and will no doubt prove his class on the day.

Robert has said “It is such an honour to referee such a prestigious event again. This is truly the pinnacle of shinty and to be involved once again is incredible. I would like to thank both Astie Cameron and Graham Cormack for their support throughout the years as without them I would not be where I am today. They have an often-thankless task and deserve a great deal of credit. I would like to extend the best of luck to both sides and can’t wait for what will undoubtably be a great day”

Robert will be joined by a top-class officiating team on the day:

Linespersons: Des McNulty, Tina Marshall, Andy MacLean and Steven MacLachlan

Goal Judges: Iain Kennedy & John Wood

4th Official: John Angus Gillies
