The Camanachd Association today, Tuesday 9th October, announced the 2018 Senior National Shinty Squad which will compete in this year’s Marine Harvest Shinty/Hurling International against their Irish counterparts at Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 20th October.

In speaking of the squad, Scotland Manager, Garry Reid said, ‘The 32 players who were invited to the training sessions made it a very difficult task for the coaching team to select the final 20 players that will face Ireland as I have no doubt that all 32 players could have performed at International level. However, in picking the squad it is hoped that we have recognised the players that have performed well for their club over the season and that wearing a Scotland shirt will be a fitting climax to their season.”

The squad is as follows:

Stuart MacDonald, Lovat

Rory Kennedy, Newtonmore

Andy MacKintosh, Newtonmore

Daniel Grieve, Lovat

Conor Cormack, Kinlochshiel

Mark MacDonald, Kinlochshiel

Michael Russell, Newtonmore
