Sunday saw youth finals take place in Taynuilt, where two excellent matches were played.
Firstly the Under 14 development trophy final took place, with Oban Lorn and Ballachulish providing an entertaining match. Oban Lorn on this occasion ended up being a little too strong, playing nice fluid Shinty for most of the match, and in the end won the game comfortably.
Later in the day saw the McQuisten Cup Final take centre stage, between Col Glen and Oban Camanachd Under 17 squads.
Although Col Glen dominated the first half possession, Oban Camanachd went in to half time with a 2-0 lead thanks to some excellent finishing from Ross Campbell and Lennon Campbell.
Almost immediately after the re start Col Glen found themselves back in the game thanks to an excellent first time strike by Connor Kennedy.
However, the hope was short lived, as 5 minutes later another Lennon Campbell strike sealed the game for Camanachd.
Both teams played at a high standard throughout and gave the crowd a fantastic game.
Congratulations to both Oban Lorn and Oban Camanachd on their respective wins, and commiserations to Ballachulish and Col Glen.
Thanks also to match referee Ross Brown who did both matches on the day, and performed excellently.
