Saturday August 31st sees Newtonmore 2nd take on Fort William 2nd at Bught Park.
Newtonmore sit second in the Mowi North Division 1, 7 points from Glengarry with 4 games in hand. Fort William are currently one point behind the Badenoch side but have played 3 games more. If Newtonmore are to win the Mowi North Division 1 and the Strathdearn Cup, there is little more they could do to underline their dominance at this level. Fort William will have to quickly recover from what was undoubtably a fantastic celebration on Saturday after the 1st team won the Liberty British Aluminium Balliemore Cup.
It was a mixed bag in the semi-finals of the Strathdearn for the two sides, Fort breezed past Kilmallie 7-0 An Aird, whereas Newtonmore squeezed by GlenUrquhart 2-1. The two sides will be well matched going into the final but Newtonmore players will be doubly determined to perform well with a potential spot in the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final squad up for grabs. However, there is no doubt Fort William will want to avenge last year's final where they lost 4-0 to the same side.
Throw up for this contest will be at 16:00 at Bught Park, Inverness.
