Surviving and Thriving - 125 Years of the Camanachd Association

The Highland Folk Museum is hosting its fourth annual one-day seminar in honour of their inspirational and pioneering founder Dr Isabel F Grant (1887-1983), this year with the Camanachd Association.

10 October 2018 marks the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the Camanachd Association. On this date in 1893, in the Victoria Hall in Kingussie, representatives of various shinty clubs throughout the country met “for the purpose of forming a Camanachd Association”.

To help celebrate our anniversary this conference will examine and celebrate the past, the present and the future of shinty. We hope that you will join us and continue to help our nation’s most iconic team sport not just to survive but thrive over the next 125 years.

Tickets are limited and available from the following link with some early bird ticket discounts available.
